this is my graduation card to you (please get rid of that fugly temporary pink highlighter card, stat). i’m trying to save paper and be avant-garde in the card industry.
anyway, with these kind of dumb, sentimental things, i have no idea where i should begin, but i’ve heard the beginning is always a good place.
first and foremost, i have our mutual creepiness slash stalker tendencies to thank for this friendship. without it, neither of us would have said hi to each other on that fateful sunny day, leading to a facebook friendship, which somehow turned into a dinner date at michael’s bistro (ew, reading it in words looks like we met via eharmony and are dating/in love/married - not a fan of this). though you were severely judging me for not having the same soulful music taste as you, i guess i was charming enough to set up another play date with, which marked the beginning of a billion more play dates/studates/crazy times to come.
you, angelee, are one of the best people of this world. you have a heart that is too big for your tiny body, a mind that is saturated with creative juices, and a will that is stronger than an african elephant’s tusk. you work harder than anyone i know, as exemplified by your stupid decision to add on a second major at the end of your third year (though i may or may not have played a part in determining this decision, but why’d you listen to me? i’m dumb). not only do you work hard in academics, you put that much heart and soul into your friendships. you have formed and will continue to form an eclectic aggregate of friends, and you are the kind of person who remains true to these friendships because people are that worth it to you. and because of this, all of these friends feel equally as inclined, if not more, to dedicate that kind of friend-y love and devotion to you.
you are a rock: stubborn, independent, strong-willed. a pretty rock. a rockstar. and one of the most unique people i have met. you have a very particular, classy, and sophisticated taste for all things in life, but you are absolutely beautiful, humble, and refined. in addition to all of these lovely qualities, you are, most importantly, a jesus lover. this simple fact inevitably infiltrates the way you view life, the activities you do or create (i.e., live love homeless ministry? angela and john lee’s doing, mmhmm yeah, them), the advice you give, the conversations we have, and ultimately, the beautiful way you affect people’s lives.
because of all your splendid qualities, i am more than confident that you will be successful in whatever job is lucky enough to have you. i know you’re internally freaking out about not having anything stable yet, but you stop that right now! you are destined for greatness; it’s written all over your face. besides, it will all fall into place the way the big man has intended. duh.
you are marvelous in all of the many ways, so congrats. congrats on making it through the vicissitudes of college. congrats on finishing your crazy double major and minor with a million activities on the side. congrats on having no more study dates. congrats on saying bye to consecutive all-nighters. congrats for finishing your 20 plus papers this semester. congrats for officially, finally being done! i just… love ya, i do.

boys, this little lady is a single pringle ready to mingle. though you’re probs awesome, i just don’t know if you’re good enough for her. inquire within and maybe you’ll have a lucky shot. i have just appointed myself as her official boyfriend/husband manager. angela, don’t kill me.
